Breaks Fluid Brembo Racing LCF 600 Pack 500 cc

Product Code: 04816411

For the most demanding motorcyclists Brembo Racing LCF 600 PLUS developed for racing.

For the most demanding motorcyclists, Brembo offers the Brembo Racing LCF 600 PLUS developed for those who use racing on the racetrack and which offers the best features under stress. The main characteristic of the brake fluid is to have as a property a very low coefficient of compressibility and a remarkable resistance to high temperatures (boiling point), to avoid that it undergoes large volume variations due to the high operating temperatures it can reach during the phases of braking.
These temperatures depend on the continuity and intensity of the braking action, in fact the liquid has a working temperature range that goes from about - 40 ° C to well over 200 ° C, so the higher the boiling point will be the characteristic of the liquid .
Due to its characteristics, the brake fluid easily absorbs moisture which immediately determines a decrease in its performance to make it inefficient. Precisely because of hygroscopicity (ie the tendency to absorb the moisture present in the air) the brake fluid over time degrades and loses the characteristics described above, developing as a more evident effect the tendency to produce water vapor bubbles with increasing temperature (the "Vapor Lock" effect, ie the development of steam bubbles), which involves the progressive extension of the hot brake lever.
The graph represents the decay of the various brake fluids according to the absorbed humidity. It is noted that the decay of the characteristics of the brake fluid is immediate, even in the presence of a small percentage of water.
It is therefore advisable to keep it under control, and replace it when necessary.

Because of this the brake fluid must have some specific characteristics:
• be as incompressible as possible• have a high boiling point
• have a low viscosity• be chemically stable
• be chemically inert towards the gaskets
