TECHNOLOGYThe aesthetic choices interact closely with the concreteness of technology brought to its highest stage. Compared to the calipers that preceded it, Stylema® has been dried around the pistons and pads, reducing the internal spaces occupied by brake fluid, to make it more responsive. The weight is also less than about 7%, thanks to the reduction in the external dimensions and height of the fixing columns and the consequent use of fixing screws shorter than 5 mm. Reductions that do not come at the expense of stiffness, due to the redefinition and calculation of all the fundamental sections and changing the arrangement of the external bridges, now with a more direct connection to the piston seats. By emphasizing the flow of air around the pads, Stylema® cools extremely quickly, thanks to the increase in the passage areas around the pistons with radiator and the opening for the air outlet in the central bridge.
DESIGN
The balance of the shape arises from the need to lighten the mass, lowering it and emptying it of any superfluous gram. Exact and essential lines draw geometric surfaces consistent with the latest generation sports bikes on which the new Stylema® caliper will be mounted. The two raised ribs are structural and design elements that give the product dynamism and visual solidity and define an ideal space in which to place the Brembo logo. The air intake, a central element that connects to the upper rib thanks to the two edges, makes the caliper design more aggressive and sharp.
